• Ship Registration

The Shipping Registry in Cayman is an extension of the British Registry and has been extensively reorganised over the last 10 years. In recent years it has grown dramatically and attracted some substantial quality tonnage. In addition, the Registry has become the world's largest for vessels in the "super yacht" category. There is no VAT on yachts registered in the Territory and European tax laws do not apply.

• Ship Finance

The firm is regularly instructed by financial institutions and overseas law firms in connection with preparing and advising upon loan documentation, including facility agreements, deeds of covenant, together with the preparation and registration of statutory mortgages and schedules, and ancillary security and corporate documentation.

Perhaps the only firm in the Cayman Islands with years of hands-on experience in major salvage, towage and collision claims, the firm has the ability to advise on and act in the arrest, detention and implementation of maritime claims against vessels.
